We put our pumpkins on the mantle. (The bigger one is Ellie's and the smaller one is The Muffin's.)
We put our fall wreath up and The Muffin put her painted pumpkin from Cousin Callie's party beside of the front door.
and the girls got to pick out a scarecrow.
We get the furry brown blanket out of the closet and it magically becomes a poppy field when placed on top of the clean laundry in the laundry basket.

There's still lots of fall things to do this weekend. I sprayed the yard with total vegetation killer a couple of weeks ago, so there's dead weeds to be pulled this weekend (Muff & I started on this yesterday). We had more weeds than grass since we sort of forgot to water our new yard during that hot, dry spell we had. Big Daddy and I were too busy getting settled, and living life with our two girls. Hopefully, the yard will get aerated and new grass seed will be sewn next week.
I have daffodil bulbs that I'll plant as soon as my mom tells me it's time and we need to decide on any other planting that we want to do before it freezes.
I want to go somewhere to take a few pictures of the girl surrounded by pumpkins. I've wanted to do this since The Muffin's first fall, but I've never gotten around to it. I had my pick of great pumpkin patches before. Now, not so much. Hopefully, we'll be able to go somewhere fun either tomorrow afternoon or Sunday after church.

I love Fall!
Your comment on my "Cabin post" made me cry. I miss Grandpa quite often, sometimes on a daily basis, but you seem to forget about the everyday things like sitting on the porch with a block of cheese. He would have loved it. I would have loved to see it. I can almost close my eyes and see him there!
Oh I love it! Fall is the best time of year!!!
