Guess who...

Baby Ellie is pictured in a bumGenius 3.0 in Grasshopper.

finally started wearing cloth diapers today!?!

Even though I've only changed her a couple of times, I LOVE these bumGenius diapers!
You may recall that I had bought a single bumGenius after The Muffin was potty trained and only wore a diaper at night. She wet the diaper one time, but I knew that I liked everything about it. During my pregnancy with Baby Ellie I did lots of diaper research and decided that I wanted a cloth, one size diaper for cost effectiveness. I ordered my diapers and Big Daddy made me promise NOT to buy any pink ones. Needless to say, that's killing me! They have such great colors, but we went with all gender neutral since we weren't then sure of Baby Ellie's sex. Now that we're partially settled into our life, I decided to get started with my cloth diapering adventure.
Lots of people think it's crazy and would be so much easier to go disposable. I like how these diapers feel, the fun colors, how her bottom looks nice and smooth (not wrinkled and red) when I take them off and of course, the impact on our wallet and the planet are also big positives. I'll let you know later how I feel after she really dirties a diaper! I'll still be using disposables when we go on vacation and stuff, but I intend to use cloth as much as possible. I'll be trying out cloth wipes, as well.
It's sort of sad that I'm so excited about changing diapers!

Oh yay! Way to be eco friendly! We've tried cloth on her once and her skin was so irritated we said never again, but maybe these will work. You'll have to tell us more!

I really want to use cloth diapers but I think I'm going to wait until my baby is a little older...don't know about getting a cloth diaper schedule going with everything else. I have done so much research too and am not sure what kind really is the best...everybody seems to like their own brand the best.

Have you ever heard of Smarti Pants? I saw a post recently about them and they were intriguing.

When I started hearing about cloth diapering I immediately started thinking about what our moms put us in. Since MckMama's post on it, I researched a little myself. Doesn't sound bad at all but yeah, definitely let us know how you're feeling after a blowout!

Not weird at all! My SIL used Fuzzi Bunz with her daughter. I would've used cloth diapers except I spent almost $400 on them and never got them and the seller disappeared.

So.......... anyway, she looks so adorable in her little cloth diap!!! I can't wait to hear how you feel after a poo! LOL!
