The Mommy

The Mommy

about us...

I'm The Mommy, a SAHM to Maggie & Ellie. I'm married to Big Daddy, an engineer, grad student and our hard-working provider.
I blog instead of scrapbooking in hopes of preserving a part of our life for the future.
We enjoy beach trips, going to Church and spending time together...all as a family...because that's what we are.

Random pictures from this past week

Ellie decided to try to keep up with her sister today at the Chicken Sandwich restaurant's playground.

Ellie and I went to the fire station with Maggie today (parents are required to accompany the kids) for a class field trip. Ellie was very tired and didn't feel like smiling, but enjoyed sitting in the engine truck with Maggs.

I was cooking dinner on Tuesday evening and asked Maggie what her sister was doing. She said, "She's sitting in the rocking chair drinking tea." Ellie has started "pouring" tea for us and loves to play tea party!

Maggie and Ellie spent most of Tuesday morning doing art. Maggie likes to cut and use glue and Ellie scribbles with crayons and markers.

Ellie cracks us up doing her "surprised" face. She does it at least a hundred times a day! I think her new jacket surprised her. She likes to turn the rocking chair upside down and then act surprised because she knows we'll laugh at her!

Have A Happy Weekend!

Very cute pictures! The things we see our kids do and hear them say everyday is the very reason to be a SAHM. D misses out on so much. He was surprised the other night when A was saying "cool." I was like "he's been saying that for a while now" not really thinking about the reason it was maybe new to D.
