I was having a not very good day until my mom called to see if I wanted to bring Maggie & Ellie over while I ran errands. I was surprised that Maggie quickly decided to go with me. We took our recyclables to the recycling center, returned old library books and checked out new ones, went to vote and then went to buy items for our Samaritan's Purse shoebox. Maggie was able to do vote using the children's ballot and I'm pretty sure she voted wrong on a couple of the elections! We had a lot of fun during our alone time.
In the middle of all of our errands my mommy-friend April called to tell me some bad news. She had a spot on her lip that had to be biopsied and it came back that it was cancerous. She may have to have a large portion of her lip removed and will be starting on a chemotherapy treatment soon. She also has to have testing to make sure that it hasn't spread. Please pray for her. She has a four and a half year old son and a daughter that will be one in a couple of weeks. Needless to say, she is very worried.
As for the rest of my week, I will be a baking fool!! I'm fixing goodies for Big Daddy to take to work for his birthday and I'm also having my family over for dessert on his birthday. And the house needs to be cleaned. Really bad.
Should be sharing the BIG news sometime soon, but it may be the first of next week since we still have to announce it to Big Daddy's family.
Please remember my friend April, as well as our little family in your prayers.
Happy Tuesday!

Sorry to hear about your friend. I know that must be scary to hear those words.
Maggie voted for the wrong people?!?!? I didn't even know they had ballots for children. That's fun!
I will be praying for your friend! I can't imagine hearing news like that and having young children!
